Upper Moreland Sees Slight Dip in Votes, Leans Democrat

According to the Montgomery County Election Offices, about half the township came out and voted yesterday.

President Obama won the election, and the majority of residents in Upper Moreland who voted yesterday reflected those same results.

The Montgomery County Election Offices released the voting results for UM Township and about 700 fewer people came out and voted yesterday than in the 2008 Presidential Election.

In 2008, the Democratic vote held a 57-41 advantage for President, and yesterday the Republican vote picked up a couple of percentage points swinging it to 55-43. A total of 12,179 votes were cast yesterday in Upper Moreland.
