Volunteers Sought for Upper Moreland Board of Appeals

The Upper Moreland Board of Commissioners are seeking candidates for a potential Board of Appeals group.

The Board of Commissioners is considering creation of a five member local Board of Appeals (UCC Appeals Board) to hear and rule on challenges to the administration and enforcement of the Pennsylvania Statewide Uniform Construction Code (building code) in Upper Moreland Township. Members of the UCC Appeals Board should have prior training and/or experience in any of the following areas: building and construction, architecture, engineering, design, and planning or other related fields.

If you or anyone you know is interested in volunteering their time to serve on an Appeals Board of this nature, please submit a letter of interest and resume to the Township Manager, David A. Dodies, ddodies@uppermoreland.org no later than Thursday, January 24, 2013 for consideration.  The Finance and Administration Committee of the Board of Commissioners will be considering qualified applicants at their meeting on January 28, 2013 at 7 p.m. at the Township Building.
