$11,000 Raised by Upper Moreland Students in Pasta for Pennies Program

Students at the Upper Moreland Primary School participated in the Pasta for Pennies Program.

Students from the Upper Moreland Primary School were able to raise more than 10 times the amount they originally planned in Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Pasta for Pennies program sponsored by Olive Garden.

In the course of three weeks, the students raised over $11,000, when the original goal was set at $1,000. The students achieved their goal by collecting spare change in small boxes given out by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Since the students did such a great job raising money, Olive Garden decided to provide free lunches to the top three classrooms. Those classrooms are:

  • Mrs. Speer's 1st Grade class
  • Mr. Carroll's Kindergarten class
  • Mrs. Hall's 2nd Grade class

Students in these classes will have their catered lunches on Thursday, April 11 at noon.
