PARKING – Any Seniors or Juniors that would like to be considered for the parking lottery can pick up an application in the main office beginning August 13th. Applications must be submitted no later than August 28th. Applications will not be accepted without a copy of a valid driver’s license, current registration and insurance card. The cost for parking permits will be: $50.00 for A & C lot, and $20.00 for D lot. No payment is required until students are notified by Mr. Staub regarding the location of their parking space.
U.M.H.S. CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS - Our new cheerleading coach is Lola Leibensperger. Tryouts for the 2012-2013 season will be held on August 20th 5-7pm, August 21st 5-7pm, and August 22nd 5-8pm. There will be a meeting for all those that make the 2012-2013 J. V. and Varsity squads, along with their parents, on August 22nd, at 8:15pm following tryouts. SPORTS TEAMS / PARENT MEETING – There is a mandatory meeting for ALL students, and parents of students, who are participating in fall sports on Monday night, August 13th at 7:00 PM in the High School Auditorium. The meeting for Marching Band members will be announced at a later date.
FALL SPORTS – In order to participate in fall sports, students must turn in a completed physical form. Physical forms must be signed by your physician and dated on or after June 1st, 2012. Physical forms can be found on our school website, www.umtsd.org or on the P.I.A.A. website, www.piaa.org.
Drop-off: physical forms and activity fee: Tues., Aug. 7, Wed., Aug 8, Thurs. Aug 9 at the high school from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information visit www.umtsd.org.
FRESHMAN ORIENTATION – All Freshmen are invited to attend a brief orientation and barbeque on Tuesday August 28th at 4:00 PM. Students will have an opportunity to meet the high school administrators, interact with their classmates and take a tour the high school. Please call Mrs. Beck at 215-830-1500 to sign up.
11th Grade Physicals – The School Health Act of Pennsylvania requires that all in-coming juniors turn in a completed physical form. Forms are being mailed home this week, and the medical examination must have been conducted after September 4th, 2011. Completed forms are to be turned in to your school nurses office on or before the first day of school, September 4, 2012.
All junior athletes must complete and turn in both physical forms.
The sports physical form does not take the place of the 11th grade physical form.
