Lions Award Upper Moreland Grad

Choosing Upper Moreland High School class of 2013 graduate Brian Baist for a Willow Grove Lions Club scholarship was a no-brainer.

Lion John Ekey, a member for more than 30 years and a past president, said Baist fits the mission of the club to a T.

"He’s working to be a physical therapist. Ekey said of the local branch of the national service club, which raises money for the blind and physically handicapped. "He’s in a field where we support."

Finishing near the top of his class was also another selling point for Baist, an honor roll student, to be awarded the $1,000 scholarship.
