Snapshot: UMPS Enters the Year of the Dragon

Upper Moreland Primary School kindergarten students celebrate the Lunar New Year in style.

Kindergarten class at the celebrated the Chinese New Year on Jan. 27.

In celebration of the Year of the Dragon, the students created their own dragons and went on a Dragon Parade throughout the school, complete with a "big" dragon and musical instruments. 

The students also learned about the traditions of the new year by receiving the red envelopes symbolizing good luck, eating fortune cookies, and creating their own versions of Chinese Brush Painting.
