UMHS and Eastern Student Selected as SkilsUSA State Representative

Sarah Welch has been selected as a new SkillsUSA Pennsylania State officer for the 2013-2014 school Year. Sarah is an Eastern Center for Arts and Technology (Eastern) Commerical Art student and a junior at Upper Moreland High School.

According to an Upper Moreland School District press release, Sarah has been an active member of SkillsUSA, attending the Career and Technical Student Organization(CTSO) Fall Leadership convention, as well as competing in local level competitions. During such competitions, Sarah placed third in Prepared Speech and first in both Job Interview and Photography.

She is a member of the Gay Straight Alliance and Cardio Club at UMHS, and has maintained Distinguished Honor Roll throughout her High School career.

After high school, Sarah plans to pursue a career as a graphic designer.
