UMHS Sophomore One of the Top German Students in County

UMHS student Meaghan Farley placed among the top students in the 2011 Montgomery County Oral Proficiency Contest.

Upper Moreland High School student Meaghan Farley, a 10th grader, placed first in the German 3 category in the 2011 Montgomery County Oral Proficiency Contest.

Her award recognizes her accomplishment as the top student in oral proficiency in German at level 3 in the county.

Meaghan's competition at the oral proficiency contest included candidates from Germantown Academy, Upper Dublin High School, Wissahickon High School and other Montgomery County private and public schools.

Meaghan is a dedicated German student, an officer in the UMHS German Club and a member of the UMHS German Honor Society.

She has been a part of the UMHS team attending the Delaware Valley Deutschfest (DVD) competition for two years. Meaghan is organizing the team for the DVD competition this year.

Meaghan will be traveling with the UMHS German American Partnership Program (GAPP) in the summer of 2012 to Bad Harzburg Germany for four weeks.
