“We are part of something bigger, and we are part of it together”
Unfortunately throughout this holiday season, millions of children throughout the United States will continue their fight with cancer. A group of over thirty students at Upper Moreland have been planning and organizing a Mini-THON to make the fight a little easier for those affected by pediatric cancer.
On December 14th, from six o’clock until midnight, Upper Moreland students will be dancing to raise money to fight and cure pediatric cancer. The six hour dance-a-thon will take place in the Upper Moreland Intermediate School’s cafetorium. The dance-a-thon is being organized by students in the Upper Moreland Key Club as well as the student council, NHS, Interact Club, and business club. Students are required to raise a minimum of fifty dollars in order to participate and seventy five dollars to receive a T-shirt. Committee chairs, Emily Dormer and Alex Pronzato, are expecting between one hundred to two hundred participants. Upper Moreland’s goal is to raise between five thousand and ten thousand dollars for pediatric cancer research. All of the money raised will go directly to the four diamonds fund as we work together to end pediatric cancer.
