New at the Upper Moreland Free Library


The Upper Moreland Library constantly adds new materials to its collection. These include all formats, including books, CDs and DVDs. Here are the latest offerings available at the library.

  1. Act of War: a Thriller by Brad Thor. (Book). A follow-up to Hidden Order. It pits private intelligence operative Scot Harvath and his associates against a formidable new adversary.

  2. Minecraft: Redstone Handbook written by Nick Farwell. (Book). Redstone experts guide you through all aspects of working with Redstone including mining, smelting, using repeaters, circuit components and circuit designs.

  3. How Not to be Wrong: The Power of Mathematical Thinking by Jordan Ellenberg. (Book). Jordan Ellenberg shows that math isn't confined to abstract incidents that never occur in real life. Math allows us to see the hidden structures underneath the messy and chaotic surface of our world.

  4. The Phantom of Fifth Avenue: The Mysterious Life and Scandalous Death of Heiress Huguette Clark by Meryl Gordon. (Book). Describes the sad life of Huguette Clark, heiress to a copper magnate's fortune. She withdrew from society to live in isolation in a huge 5th Avenue apartment.

  5. American Accent Training: Guide to Speaking and Pronouncing American English for Everyone Who Speaks English as a Second Language by Ann Cook (5 Compact Discs). A multi-media guide to pronouncing American English uses a "pure-sound" approach to speaking to help imitate the fluid ways of American speech.

  6. Masters of Sex. The complete first season. (DVD). Chronicles the lives of sex researchers William Masters and Virginia Johnson. Masters.
