Wawa, Grocery Store Presentation This Week

See what's happening this week in Upper Moreland Township.

The Upper Moreland Board of Commissioner will meet Monday at 7 p.m. in the municipal building, 117 Park Ave., in Willow Grove. A presentation by representatives of Weis Markets at The Marketplace at Huntingdon Valley is planned. 

Also on the agenda is a request from the developers of the new Wawa planned for 151 York Road to begin grading at the site. This was first discussed during last week's regular board of commissioners meeting and was sent back to committee.

Fall sports camps begin at Upper Moreland High School on Monday. Physicals and activity fee are also due on Monday.

Upper Moreland School Board will meet on Tuesday at 5:45 p.m. at Upper Moreland Intermediate School, 3990 Orangemans Road, for its programs and services, policy and facilities/operations committee meeting. 

The district's Advanced Placement test results for 2012-2013 will be presented to the committee.

The committee will also consider updated field assignments for township organizations, as well as storage and other logistical needs for community groups. Included in this discussion will be a focus on the Willow Grove Bears Football program field use and storage needs. 

Also on the agenda are updates on the various construction and renovation projects ongoing at district schools.
