Inception Christopher Nolan's mind-blowing masterpiece is the best movie of the year because it combines stunning visuals with a level of narrative virtuosity I don't know if I've ever seen before. The plot is going on at four different levels of reality all at once, and not only does it make sense, but it's fascinating, too.
