The Apple Store in Willow Grove Park had its grand opening over the weekend and handed out T-shirts to the first 1,000 customers. The store is packed with Apple products for you to test-drive, training sessions and free workshops, and great people who can answer all your questions. The 8,300 square foot store is located on the second level of Willow Grove Park. They also offer convenient ways to shop with Apple. With Personal Pickup, you can buy online and pick up your order at the Apple Store. An Abington resident lost his Apple iPad and an old MontBlanc pen yesterday at about noon on Easton Road. The iPad was in a Penn State portfolio with a black rubber rain protector. If anyone has come across the iPad, please call Billie at 267-210-2524.

The Montco Mommy may be proud to serve her civic duty, but she doesn't have to like it.
I like control. I know that. I like to have control over every-and-anything that I can. Most of my fears, stressors and anxiety in life comes from lack of control. I don’t like to fly, for example, because I feel like I should be able to stop, pull over and jump out of a moving vehicle any time I’d like. I’m probably not going to, but I like knowing that if I had to, I could. I think, as I sit here watching a clock creep as slowly as I’ve ever seen it, that is why I am resenting Jury Duty so much right now. I get it, right? It is my civic duty. I should be proud to live in a free and just country. At the moment, I guess I’m just not feeling so All-American. Instead, I’m counting by the hours in the Montgomery County Courthouse. So far, I’…

A Montgomery County Community College professor sees the iPad as a 'game changer' when it comes to the way PR campaigns will be conducted.
Writing for public relations campaigns? There’s an app for that. If not, there may be soon. Thomas Donlan, assistant professor of speech communication at Montgomery County Community College, is featuring Apple’s iPads in his Writing for Public Relations Campaigns course for the fall 2011 semester. The hybrid course will be conducted mostly online, according to a MCCC press release. The course is intended to provide the social media skills students need as they enter the communications field or to update their skills in their current jobs or as they pursue their careers.
