The middle of the week offers a potentially damp period in what will be a generally mild start to the month.
We turn the page to October and the gradual transition of seasons continues. However, it's going to be a mild week and not very fall-like despite the rather fall-like weekend that we just experienced. A large storm system in the southern U.S. will push northeast for the middle of the week, pulling moisture and warmth northward into the Delaware Valley. Showers and storms are possible for Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday as the system moves through. With a pretty significant surge of moisture coming north from the Gulf of Mexico, the prospect for heavier showers is in the forecast for some locations as this system moves in. The Upper Moreland Township Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the 23rd Annual Pumpkins on Parade event at Masons Mills Park. On Saturday, Oct. 20, residents are invited to participate in hay rides, face painting, and other fun-filled events from 6 to 9 p.m. The township estimates about 600 families attend this event each year. If you are an Upper Moreland resent, you can skip the line by pre-registering at the Parks & Recreation office beginning Oct. 5, and receive your tickets prior to the event. The season of blockbusters has officially arrived
Fall is here, and it brings with it the beginning of a steady stream of sure top-sellers in the video game industry. October hosts the release of id Software’s first entirely in-house title since 2004, a sequel to one of the most wonderfully sadistic games of the last decade, the Xbox 360 and PS3’s taste of a previously Wii-only dance title, the triumphant return of the dark knight, and DICE’s true sequel to their genre-defining FPS from 2005. Great article. ICO and Shadow of the Colossus (Sony Computer Entertainment) has been re-released in double-feature form for the PS3. These games rule and when the price drops, I'll be all over them.   more ›
