Snapshot: UMPD National Prescription Drug Take-Back a Big Success
Bags and bags of drugs, prescription and otherwise, were collected at Giant by Upper Moreland Police.
Upper Moreland Police Department’s (UMPD) participation in the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day was a huge success. The event, which is nationally sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Administration, took place locally at the Giant Food Store in Willow Grove yesterday. From 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Upper Moreland police officer Kelly Ruddell and Community Service Responder Tina McGuckin manned a large display table, located at the main entrance to the supermarket. I don't believe knowing our names and medication we were prescribed is any of the government's business. "Big Brother" already is in our lives; we don't need to voluntarily erode more of our alleged rights of privacy.   more ›
