Upper Moreland Pedestrian Killed in Hatboro

A 75-year-old Upper Moreland woman was walking in Hatboro when she was hit by a car.

A 75-year old Upper Moreland woman was killed when she was struck by a vehicle on Friday evening, Hatboro Police said.  The crash occurred at approximately 6:16 p.m. as she was walking along North Warminster Road near Lycoming Avenue in Hatboro, according to police.  Hatboro Police were dispatched to the scene and upon arrival found the woman on the side of the road after she was hit by the southbound vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, a 60-year-old Upper Moreland resident, gave consent to a blood test.  The woman was transported by the Second Alarmers Rescue Squad to Abington Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead. No charges have been filed at this time and the incident is being jointly investigated by the Hatboro Police …

Pedestrian Struck by Train

Reports said the subject, who was struck on SEPTA railroad tracks near S. Warminster Road in Upper Moreland, was killed. Upper Moreland Police are on scene.

A man was struck and killed by a SEPTA train in Upper Moreland Monday afternoon, a SEPTA official confirmed. SEPTA Spokeswoman Jerri Williams said the fatal collision occurred at about 2:30 p.m. on the Warminster line as the southbound train was heading underneath the overhead bridge of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in the area of S. Warminster Road. Upper Moreland Police vehicles were parked near Village Green apartments as officers worked along the tracks. SEPTA's Transit Police arrived at 3:54 p.m., but said they could not yet comment on the situation.
