Local Students to be Honored for Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort

There will be a ceremony today, Dec. 14 at 8 a.m. at EASTERN, where a donation will be accepted on behalf of the American Ref Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

The Eastern Center for Arts and Technology (EASTERN) SkillsUSA school-wide officers have chosen to support the American Red Cross in their mission to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy as their community service project for the year.  In November, the SkillsUSA Officers collected $449 from fellow students, faculty, administration, and staff members. After witnessing the effects of the storm locally and watching news footage of the widespread damage, the EASTERN SkillsUSA officers approached their SkillsUSA advisor, Ms. Karon Crickmore, about a potential fundraiser.
