Planned Violence at Upper Moreland Was Just a Rumor

The Upper Moreland Police Department and school officials recently investigated an incident after talks of a possible attack at the schools.

The tragic shooting in Newtown, Connecticut has everyone across the country on heightened alert when it comes to violent attacks. Days after the Sandy Hook Elementary School incident, Upper Dublin High School was put on lockdown after a student held his umbrella like a gun. And now days after that, talks of another possible attack hit closer to home. Earlier this week the police had to step in after students at Upper Moreland High School were suspected of planning an attack at the school. After interviewing the subjects, police found "no truth to any of the rumors."
