Shop Small: Support Small Businesses in Your Community on Nov. 24

AmEx's third annual Small Business Saturday is coming later this month.

Sandwiched between Black Friday and Cyber Monday is Small Business Saturday. It's a day to patronize and support the locally owned small businesses in your community. Hosted by American Express and sponsored by FedEx, Clear Channel and many other corporate supporters, public officials and advocacy groups, the third annual Small Business Saturday will be held Nov. 24, to help small businesses generate exposure and, well, business during the biggest shopping season of the year. Supporting these businesses invigorates the economy and the community. Last year, more than 100 million people pledged to "Shop Small," by visiting brick-and-mortar shops in their neighborhoods, and American Express estimates this year's turnout will be even greater. …

Chamber: We Support Wawa Construction

The Chamber of Commerce conducted a meeting regarding the new Wawa in the township.

The following message is from the Willow Grove Chamber of Commerce: Following the discussion on the proposed Willow Grove Wawa at the annual meeting of the Willow Grove Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber’s Board of Directors met and voted to support the project. Before the vote, each member expressed an opinion and the reasons behind it. Many felt that although the project was not perfect, it would be an asset to the community and would meet many of the aims of redevelopment. The vote carried by 14-1.  At the, November 7 meeting, developer Bruce Goodman explained plans for the project. He showed illustrations of the alterations that were made to more closely conform to the Upper Moreland and Montgomery County redevelopment plans for the area…

Yogurtland Opens in Willow Grove Mall

The Willow Grove Mall will hold the first location of Yogurtland in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania flavor cravers are in for a special treat when Yogurtland’s first location opens Friday, October 26, at the Willow Grove Mall. The new Yogurtland shop is at the entrance to the mall’s food court, at 2500 Westmoreland Road in Willow Grove, PA, and will be open the same hours as the mall. “The Willow Grove Mall is the center of this township, making it the ideal place for our first Yogurtland in this area.
