The Upper Moreland School Board will hold its regular board meeting on May 22.

School Board Appoints New Asst. Superintendent

Jenny Lehman takes up the position after 10 years on the job as the Upper Moreland School District’s director of Education.

The announcement came during the April 24 Regular Meeting of the Upper Moreland School Board: Jenny Lehman would no longer be the school district’s director of education. Instead, the school board made a motion to appoint Lehman as the district’s new assistant superintendent. “I am delighted to make this motion,” Lisa Berlin, chair of the board’s Human Resources Committee, said during the regular meeting. In her remarks, Berlin noted that the position has not been filled for the last several years, and moving from her current position as director of education to assistant superintendent will provide Lehman with the opportunity to further her work in the district. Over 200 School District Students Still in Need of Vaccinations

Students not meeting the PA Health Department’s immunization requirements by May 1 will be barred from entering their school.

Upper Moreland School District superintendent Dr. Robert Milrod gave both an impassioned plea and a stern warning to the parents and guardians of the remaining 200 students who are yet to fulfill their Pennsylvania Department of Health’s immunization requirements. Milrod dedicated his superintendent’s report at last night’s Regular School Board Meeting to explain that Upper Moreland School District will follow the state mandate of excluding non-compliant students from school on and after the May 1 deadline. “It’s just around the corner,” Milrod said.
