Turnpike Construction at Willow Grove to Begin Tonight

The contractor will begin work to move existing travel lanes in both directions from Jan. 28-Feb. 1.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling on Interstate 276 (I-276) east from Ft. Washington (Exit #339) and west from Bensalem (Exit 351) to be prepared for new traffic patterns to be implemented eastbound and westbound at the Willow Grove Interchange (Exit 343) before 6 a.m., Feb. 1. Portable and permanent message signs have been activated to provide advance notice of the traffic shift and construction updates. In preparation for the upcoming bi-directional traffic shifts, the contractor replacing the mainline bridge at milepost 342.7 will establish intermittent traffic patterns starting eastbound at 7 p.m., Jan. 28, weather permitting, between milepost 341-344. Turnpike Announces Lane Restrictions Near Willow Grove Tonight

Motorists on the Turnpike between the Delaware Valley and Willow Grove exits should be aware of a lane restrictions tonight (May 31) from 9 p.m. - 6 a.m.

[From the PA Turnpike Commission]: The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling westbound on the PA Turnpike (I-276) between the Delaware Valley (Exit #358) and Willow Grove (Exit #343) Interchange to be prepared for a double-lane traffic pattern to be in effect tonight, Thursday (May 31) from  9 p.m. until 6 a.m. tomorrow morning.   At 9 p.m. construction crews will establish a double-lane pattern westbound, closing the center and right lanes between milepost 352-348 during bridge deck repairs until the pattern is lifted by 6:00 a.m. Friday morning.   Motorists should stay alert for slow moving or stopped traffic approaching the Bensalem exit and obey the posted 40 mph speed limit through the work zone. The construction on the Pennsylvania Turnpike will create a double-lane patter westbound for motorists traveling between the Delaware Valley and Willow Grove exits.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has released an advisory, cautioning  motorists traveling westbound on the PA Turnpike (I-276) between the Delaware Valley (Exit #358) and Willow Grove (Exit #343) Interchange to be prepared for a double-lane traffic pattern to be in effect tonight, Tuesday (May 22) from  9 p.m. until 6 a.m. tomorrow morning.
