Police Offering $2,500 Reward for Info on Lower Moreland Armed Robbery

The Lower Moreland Police Department and the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office are looking for Michael Bivans after an armed robbery in Huntingdon Valley.

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman and Lower Moreland Township Police Chief Peter C. Hasson are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the perpetrators of a home invasion robbery in Huntingdon Valley. On May 19, 2012, two men entered a home on Heaton Hill Lane in Huntingdon Valley and held occupants at gun point. Women and children were at the residence at the time of the home invasion. Through video surveillance and forensic evidence, one of the perpetrators has been identified as 23-year-old Michael Bivans. Police say the man should be considered to armed and dangerous. Multiple Cars Set Ablaze in Act of Arson

Detectives were on the scene after a set of cars were set fire to in a parking lot.

A witness called LMPD on Nov. 11 after he saw several cars on fire in the parking lot of 7 Motors Inc., 3021 Franks Rd. in Huntingdon Valley. He was working at his shop nearby when he heard popping noises outside and saw an orange glow through his window. The Lower Moreland Police Department along with the Philadelphia and Huntingdon Valley fire companies responded to the scene. Several cars were fully enflamed when police arrived, and two employees inside the building said they had no idea there was a fire until police knocked on the door. Detectives from LM, Montgomery County, PA Police fire investigator and LM Fire Marshal were all on scene. The owner of 7 Motors Inc. arrived to see five of his cars on fire. Man Stopped on County Line, Claims He's God, Needs to Save Human Race

The following was reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department.

[Editor's note: charges are pending for this incident after a chemical form was submitted]. On November 1, an officer from the Lower Moreland Police Department was responding to the 1400 block of County Line Road for an electrical fire caused by fallen power lines at Mann Road. County Line Road was closed shortly after and another Fire Police vehicle was approaching the scene for assistance. Behind that Fire Police car was a silver sedan weaving through stopped traffic that let the emergency vehicle pass. As the sedan approached the police officer, the officer told the driver, a male from Philadelphia, that the road was closed and he needed to find a different route. Gunshots Fired at Forest Hills Cemetary

The following was reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department.

On Monday, Oct. 22, a resident who lives on Evans St. in Philadelphia, which borders the Forest Hills Cemetary in Lower Moreland, called LMPD to report she heard gun shots coming from the cemetery Monday morning. She was woken up by the sound of the first gunshot, and then she heard a second gunshot seconds later. When she looked outside to see what was going on, she saw spotlights and two pick up trucks in the northeast corner of the cemetery. No other information was provided, but she requested police have extra patrol in the area because she reported a similar incident just days prior to this latest incident.

Woman Scratches, Hits Boyfriend After He Breaks Up with Her

The following was reported by the Lower Moreland police Department.

Police responded to a domestic dispute on Sept. 24 on the 700 block of Lisa Circle  between a man and his live-in girlfriend. The man told police he had been dating Judy Landers, 52, of Willow Grove, for two months and she had been living with him at his residence during that time. The two were arguing for the past three hours because he was breaking up with her. He stated that while they were arguing, she scratched him and struck him in the head with her head. He had visible scratch marks on his right wrist and chest, and he had an abrasion on his right elbow. Landers reported that she tried to kiss him, but he pushed her away. Huntingdon Valley Man Caught with 20-Inch Pot Plant

The following was reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department.

On August 2, an officer from the Lower Moreland Police Department was assisting the Bryn Athyn Police Department on a pedestrian stop in the area of Buck Rd. and Huntingdon Pike. The officers observed Rondald Lenkiewicz Jr., 37, of Huntingdon Valley, drop a plant that he was holding in his hand on the sidewalk along Buck Road. He then dropped a small metal object on the ground and the officer stopped him for an investigation. The plant was 20 inches tall with a small dirt-covered root ball. The plant had leaves with five serrated leaflets consistent with a marijuana leaf. The plant had the slight odor or marijuana, according to the report. Manor Care Employees Get into Fight in Patient's Room

Two employees of Manor Care got into a physical altercation in an elderly woman's room while she was still there.

The Lower Moreland Police Department was already responding to a minor incident at Manor Care Health Services, 3430 Huntingdon Pike, on July 28 when an officer was approached by an employee who wanted to report an assault. The employee told the responding officer that coworkers Shadae Marquis, 22, of Philadelphia, and Charles Sawbo, 30, of Philadelphia, were invloved in a fight in a patient's room. She heard yelling and screaming coming from the room and decided to see what was going on. As the one employee entered the room, she saw Sawbo strike Marquis with a closed fist, after which Sawbo pushed the other employee to the ground causing her to fall backwards and strike a table next to the patient’s bed. She is home now and still speaks fondly of her stay and interaction with staff. She described the staff as caring and responsive. Customers Get in Wrestling Match at Oh! Bryon's

The following was reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department

On Friday, July 20, the Lower Moreland Police Department was called out to Oh! Bryon’s Saloonery after a fight broke out between customers. According to witnesses, Daniel Gramlich, 25, of Philadelphia, was celebrating his birthday by drinking at the bar. Gramlich was heard making improper comments to a female bartender, and threw a shot glass in her direction causing alcohol to spill on her. A local customer confronted Gramlich about his behavior and Gramlich slapped him in the face. The two began wrestling in the bar before a group of people – including an off-duty police officer from Philadelphia – escorted the two males outside.
