Upper Moreland Teen's Broken Headlight Leads to Drug-Related Arrest

Lower Providence Police nabbed a motorist suspected in the distribution and sale of marijuana.

According to a Lower Providence Police report, an 18-year-old female from the 900 Block of W. Moreland Road in Willow Grove, was charged for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, as well as related offenses. The report states that on Dec. 15, at approximately 8:48 p.m., Lower Providence Police officer Richard Aston was conducting a routine patrol, heading northbound on Pawlings Road by Camiel Lane, when a southbound vehicle passed with an inoperable right headlight. According to the report, after conducting a traffic stop, Aston detected the odor of fresh marijuana coming from inside the female’s vehicle. Recent Arrests in Upper Moreland

The following was reported by the Upper Moreland Police Department.

Nov. 10 Alex  Alicea of Philadelphia was arrested for retail theft. Heather Marie Schwartz of Philadelphia was arrested for retail theft. Nov. 8 Anthony Lorenzo Sher of Hatboro was charged with Possessing small amount Marijuana Nov. 1 Vanessa R. Conley of Blue Bell was charged with Unsworn Falsification.

Huntingdon Valley Man Caught with 20-Inch Pot Plant

The following was reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department.

On August 2, an officer from the Lower Moreland Police Department was assisting the Bryn Athyn Police Department on a pedestrian stop in the area of Buck Rd. and Huntingdon Pike. The officers observed Rondald Lenkiewicz Jr., 37, of Huntingdon Valley, drop a plant that he was holding in his hand on the sidewalk along Buck Road. He then dropped a small metal object on the ground and the officer stopped him for an investigation. The plant was 20 inches tall with a small dirt-covered root ball. The plant had leaves with five serrated leaflets consistent with a marijuana leaf. The plant had the slight odor or marijuana, according to the report.
