New Scoreboard Coming to High School
Upper Moreland High School athletes–and spectators–will have a new way to keep score in the coming school year.
District officials are awaiting completion of a new scoreboard for the stadium at Upper Moreland High School. The $11,517.82 scoreboard is expected to be completed by June 30.
Its installation, at a cost of $3,090, will be finished by July 31, according to a project review provided by Upper Moreland School District Business Manager Michael Braun.

“Timelines are approximate,” Braun said. “They’re not science.”
Illinois-based scoreboard manufacturer Nevco was awarded the contract to build a new scoreboard for Upper Moreland High School. The nearly 80-year-old company’s scoreboard technology has advanced from the use of electric motors to solid state electronics; from incandescent bulb models to LED technology; and from hard wired control systems to wireless controls, according to its Web site.
